Pictures 1-13 are from the ride where you can see llamas, zebra, osteriches, cattle, and antelope. We were allowed to feed some of the animals from our trailer. On our way out of the zoo, we took pictures of a pair of peacocks, a turkey all ruffled up, and a few others as well. I like #23 of Ashley. |

We arrived too early, so we walked back to look at the rest of the zoo some more first. There are some more pictures of the spider monkeys, plus other animals. I think picture #11 and #15 are particularly nice in this batch. Finally, we ended back at the waiting area about 10 minutes before the trip left. |

The zoo trip continued, with more pictures from the petting zoo at first. Then we walked out towards the area where they give you a ride around the open area of the zoo to see the animals. On they way, there were a lot of Canadian Geese. After the geese, we have a couple of pictures of emu, and then we're at the waiting area where the ride takes place. Charles was enjoying himself more at this stage. |

The start of our trip to the zoo (11 May 2002.) We're getting them ready to go at home. Ashley's outfit came with a hair band, and both Charles and Ashley wanted to put it on. Neither of them liked it. The rest of this roll of film is at the Zoo. They had spider monkeys, a duck area, that included turtles, camels, and prairary dogs. At the very end, we went into the petting zoo area, seeing goes and rabbits at first. Charles didn't like it. |

This was the end of our trip to Great Falls Park. Compare SC0013-3 with SC0013-9 to see the difference with shutter speed. 3 was taken at a high shutter speed (1/4000th) while 9 was taken with a low shutter speed (1/3rd). The water on 3 is frozen, and you can see the ripples in the water as it comes over the waterfall. A good place to look is the "hill" of water just left of the top rock in the river. Compare that to 9, and you'll see that in 9, everything is much smoother. Spray in the air has been reduced, and it looks like it is flowing to me. Some nice picture of a goose right at the end. |

This entire roll is from Great Falls Park on May 4th. One f the reasons we went there was that I wanted to try different shutter speeds on the camera as I was taking pictures of the water fall. There are alot of waterfall pictures on this roll. For some reason, they all look alike to me. The next roll has better examples of the effect I was trying to see. Near the end of the roll, there are a few pictures of Charles and the family. |

The first half of the pictures are from Lake Fairfax park. We were on the cricket field while Karpagam was learning to ride a bike. By the end of the day, everyone, Charles especially, was completely tired. This was probably April 28th. Separating these pictures from the last half is a picture of Charles "reading" his counting book. Finally, the last batch of pictures are from Great Falls Park. We went there May 4th. |
